Okay...

I've had a friend let me borrow a Voodoo5 AGP 5500.

450 P3 Beta Processor
256mb of PC-100 Ram
10gb 5400 RPM Fujutsu HD
Win2k Professional

Im not going to get way into the 'specifics'

But

I Went to go play Counter-Strike, On 1024x768 Resolution i had about 30-40 FPS (Frames per second).

I Called my friend puzzled about the videocard, He told me that WickedGL Was the best for The Voodoo series.

You can get WickedGL And Many other Voodoo Driver's and overclocking programs from

From my recolection, (upgraded to a GF3) the best drivers for CS were the last betas that 3dfx released. I ran it in 800x600x16 w/ 22bit post filter enabled and 2xFSAA and it looked great! The wickedgl definately heps alot for cs.

I use WickedGL for my v5 5500. I do have to say that they are the best drivers for CS. I average about 80-90 fps at 1024.

Use the freeware version. You'll be happy.

I have a V5, kicks A$$
In Descent 3 at 1024 I get an avg of 150fps and 500fps spikes.
Never played HL much with it but I do remember the fps were insane, try updating the drives, always makes a HUGH improvement, the drivers on the disc suck.
I use http://nat.mine.nu:81/3dfx/ or http://www.3dfxfiles.com/
Hope it works for ya
