This is driving me crazy!!
I've probably missed some thing very simple!!

My setup:
E6300
Abit AB9-Pro
X1900GT
1GB DDR2 (one stick, i know i need another!! )

Basically what every i set my FSB and multiplier to it changes when windows loads, CPU-Z and other progs report my multiplier as x6.
I have disabled speedstep in the bio's.

What am I missing? lol

Im going crazy!

cheers

EDIT : Also, I have set my Vcore to 1.4, uGuru shows the voltage as 1.23 and CPU-Z displays 1.050V!!

(using latest BIO's)

looks like you have speedstep enabled. it's reducing the multi and voltage until u run something that needs the power.

you can disable it in the bios.

Go into Advanced Bios Features (http://www.teccentral.de/reviews/mainboard/abit/abit_aw9d-max/22_BIOS.jpg) and deactivate ALL of the CPU Features.

E6300 Has a multi of 7 so either you manualy set it as 6 in the BIOS or intel speed step has kicked in . Try disabling intel speed step. I think that will help alot.

In another thread in the mobo section, he mentioned the problem was solved. Apparently, the power option was set to laptop.
