None of them are 100% secure, but ZoneAlarm is the easiest to configure and use. My vote:ZoneAlarm

Steve Gibson(Net Security Guru) has found that Zone Alarm and Tiny Personal Firewall are by far the best firewalls for the average user. I use both and it works great.
And for all those using XP, you can more easily network in your home or office if you use Zonealarm and turn off the Firewall that is built into XP!!

got to agree with william as if you check out [www.grc.com] you can do a 'sheilds up' or 'probe my ports test'
ZONEALARM OR ZAPRO AND TINY PF ARE THE ONLY F/WALLS I HAVE SEEN THAT GIVE YOU FULL STEALTH ON THE WEB IE YOUR COMP BECOMES INVISIBLE TO HACKERS AS THESE WALLS NEITHER DENY NOR CONFIRM YOUR PUTERS PRESENCE AT YOUR IP ADDY BUT DONT BELEIVE ME AS U DO NOT KNOW ME FROM ADAM JUST GO TO ABOVE LINK AND DO THE TESTS.........respect trapper(zapro&and IDS / firewall BLACKICE DEFENDER):burn:

The free version of ZoneAlarm is good, but the pro version gives you more features, and is well worth the money.......

Yah XP has a firewall built in....but this is microsoft were trusting here. MMmmmm come on people...Build Build Build...that old 486 you use as a door stop has hardware firewall writen all over it.
ZoneAlarm and Tiny Personal Firewalls should both be installed on your computer. Pro version of ZoneAlarm is worth the buck because it includes many more features than the free, meaning more secruity as well as Tiny is a good "backup one" where it'll catch anything and has a stealth mode too.
As for the test;
"Relative to vulnerabilities from Windows networking, this computer appears to be VERY SECURE since it is NOT exposing ANY of its internal NetBIOS networking protocol over the Internet."
As for the Port Probing everything is secure except for "Finger."
Anyone know how to secure that port using ZoneAlarm and Tiny

it could be that your anti virus is leaving a port open to listen on...What av do you have?

in zone alarm go to security and put the slider up to most secure for net and intranet if applicable
if you do not get a full stealth after that its a prog on your pc that has got the port open
