Hi, I use the X-Fi Music edition...and I have a slight problem.

Originally I had installed the card using the included CD. This had a graphical audio console that allowed me to access all of the THX parameters for speaker output. Including bass redirection (most importantly).

Now I installed vista and I have since lost my original CD, assuming that all the needed files would be online. (wrong).

I installed the audio console from the creative website and got a watered down version of the original. When selecting 5.1 or 7.1 output I'm given no options for bass redirection or the like. I can't seem to find anywhere to get the original graphical console, which makes no sense at all.

Since then I've been using a foobar plugin to do bass redirection, but this only solves my problems for music, not games or movies. (I have a 2.2 setup, not 5.1 etc).

Is there any driver/program available that can do bass redirection for the X-Fi? (even better if it could do it for 2.1 *which my old audigy could...but X-fi can't).

well one thing is that your original CD will not have Vista drivers on it. so whatever you can download from Creative is all that is available for Vista.

I found that there was some more functionality in older versions of the software also, as opposed to what was available. So I would install the CD version and then upgarde with the current downloaded drivers.
But like I said, vista drivers wouldn't be available on the CD, so you only have access to whatever is offered from creative.

Well no, but I don't need the driver, I just need the console (which was an application that apparently set registry values or cfg values)
