I want to see this puppy hit a Ghz. Using a Thermalright SK6 with some articsilver. Temperature doesn't seem to be the problem. It will run stable at 930mhz with FSB set at 155. Any attempt to go higher results in system crashing. To hit a gig the FSB would have to be at 166. The system is running an Asus mobo with Sdram rated at PC-133. The voltage was bumped from 1.69 to 1.8 for stability, but nothing past 155 FSB is stable.
Anyone have any suggestions or have a similar set-up. Or should happiness end at 930mhz. No one sleeps until it hits a GIG!!! :D

it looks like the ram may be the limiting factor.....try getting your hands on some Kingmax PC150 and trying again....
Also make sure the CAS latency setting in your bios is set to 3 (not 2)... that may squeak a few more mhz out of the RAM... but funnyperson's right about needing some top grade RAM to hit above 156-160 mhz.

Setting the ram to cas3 instead of cas2 will maybe get you more mhz, but you have to go 200mhz higher just to equal the performance you have now at cas2.
Shadow and I experimented with these two settings, ran benchies, and were amazed at the difference.
Sure setting to cas3 will get you the mhz Maybe, but at a cost, and I don't think it's worth it.....just try for better ram, and you will have a better chance to get past 150 fsb.
For those of you that don't believe, try it for yourselves...set to cas2, run some benchmarks, then set to cas3 and do the same, and see what happens:cool:
