www.overclockers.com ,then go to begginers guides and tips on the side, and they have acouple of ocing guides....also what motherboard do you have?
Although the 900 mhz are a bad overclocking chip...
Go to the overclockers.com and read the beginners guide for a start so you get an idea for overclocking.
Second we need to know what kind of motherboard do you have, is it a branded computer, and what is the stepping.
You can determine your motherboard information using Sisoft Sandra which you can get from http://www.downloads.com/
The Stepping should be cC0 or cD0.
For a start I'll explain the main steps to overclocking:
For Intel computers the multipliers are locked, multipliers range from 1-12 and expanding.
When overclocking Intel you raise the FSB(Front Side Bus)...
The Intel chip are made simple. FSBxMultiplier=Speed
For example your chip is 950.
100FSBx9.5Multiplier=950
So if you were to overclock you would go into your bios and determine which FSB you want.
110x9.5=1145 ... Etc.
Voltage, is sort of important.
Voltage should NOT BE INCREASED unless you are having stablity problems.
The more voltage you add the more heat is produced !!
Last but not least
COOLING IS THE #1 ENEMY TO OVERCLOCKING!!
You'll need a good Socket 370 Cooler, recommendations can be found on the main page of overclockers.com
The case air flow is important too you will require case fans that will intake air as well as exhaust. Intake should be on bottom, exhaust should be on top.
The reason air flow is important is because you don't want your ass to have hot air lying around and you want your heatsink and fan to be taking cool air.

you mean heating is the #1 enemy??, and why is it bad to overclock my chip, bad or hard??
The stepping for a Celeron 900 is cD0, that's the only flavor it's made in and unlike what Tsunami claims, they are good overclockers that will generally do at least 1.2 gig and often much more. He also claims that cooling is the number one enemy to overclocking. I hope he just got confused and meant to say HEAT is the number one enemy.

i have to disagree with Tsunami, and say that the Celly 900 is an excellent overclocking chip and many people have gotten it to 1.2, and heat is a limiting factor when ocing.....
Oh sorry it was getting late.. oh yes heat is the enemy :p
do i need a, Trace Tape overclocking seal??

Nope, not at all. That is for Athlon and Duron chips to unlock the multiplier...and Intels can't be unlocked.
i have no access to my site right now but i used that sandra program and have a report if anyone wants to tell me what kind of motherboard i have i can send it to them
i dont understand the report

To find out your motherboard click the 3 icon, "Mainboard Information."
Look at extended mainboard data and you should come out with something like..
ie:
Manufacture: Abit
Model: Green/AGP/PCI/ISA System
Serial Number : xxxxxxxxx Bios Number
Chipset: Intel 440bx
Then look up on System Mainboard section and read us the model.
There should be something in the brackets like mines
xxxxxxx(BE6)
And I just typed out all my info so mine would be an Abit BE6 with an 440bx chipset.

32.0 C loaded. with stock intel hs/f
of course i have (7) 80 mm case fans ..hehe
< System Mainboard >

i'm not familiar with that mobo. i'm using a soyo 6ba+100
intel 440bx chipset.seems to be one of the older but better chipsets for overclocking.very stable. also have 384 megs pc 133 sdram.have volts@1.94

Unfortunately, chances are you're not going to get very far at all with that motherboard. Trigem is the brand of motherboard used by a couple of OEMs - most notably (and most unfortunately) eMachines. You're most likely not going to find any options for the front side bus or voltages anywhere on this motherboard. Another reason is it's i810 chipset. This is a chipset developed for an integrated computer, that is, one with onboard video, audio, LAN, and other devices, so an OEM manufacturer won't have to put these devices on after putting the computer together.
In order to do some real tuning, you're probably going to have to swap that motherboard - not much could probably be done with this one.
thanks for all your replys but i have decided to build a computer

Wise choice, man. Use the "older" machine for folding or a server or something.
