when i boot i get the logo for 20+ seconds the i get CMOS chucksum error
& it fails to find the HDD even that it gets detected

Do you have another Hard Drive you can test?
Check the motherboard for capacitors that look like they have popped. They will be rounded on the top and some have fluid leaking.

no of the capacitors are busted we had a 40C day the day before & my system is overclocked!

CPU & RAM are fine

i used G parted (a live CD HDD paritioner) it says HDC fail but knows the HDD is there

says in my sig

i even took the CMOS battery/powercable out for 12 hours the motherboard never did this before

the hadd drive work because i can hear it spin up
their is also no keyboard activity

was going to get a new one with in 6 months lol

which is the best LGA775 gigabyte motherboard?
