There is a beginers guide on O'C's main page near top left, it should be required reading...because there is so much info there, and it is easy to follow, and you will have a better idea as to what is feasable and what ain't.
I strongly suggest reading it rather than taking the first suggestion and trying it...what works for one might not work for others..and you will have a better idea of what might go wrong, and how to avoid it.
If you read the beginers guide you might not need anything else, but we'll be glad to help if you get stuck.

The therory is to get extra performance by boosting the processor speed either by changing the clock multiplier, or changing the motherboard bus speed or both, and hoping that your other devices don't freak out.
With intel chips the only to O'C' is to up the bus speed...the multiplier is locked at whatever your cpu is rated at.
Overclocking is more of an art than science, so read the guides and come to your own conclusions....in the long run you will be better off, and you will have a good idea what will work and what won't;)

there are a few things to look at;

your manual - find where you can change the FSB (Front Side Bus) and maybe the VCore (CPU Voltage)
Sometimes it is done with Jumpers on the Motherboard, and also done via the BIOS (aka JumperFree Mode)

then you have to understand how a cpu gets it final MHz speed.
Multiplier X FSB = CPU MHz

as default your cpu will run 10x Multiplier X 100MHz FSB = 1000 MHz

The next FSB speeds to select will probably be 105,110,115,120...etc. MHz

What you need to do is try each one of those speeds, then when the computer is not stable at a speed, (or does not boot up) bump it down to a lower FSB or raise the VCore

You may want to look into 'Burn-In' programs, 3D Mark 2001, Prime 95, Seti@home.

Make sure your CPU does not run too hot, look into getting MotherBoard Monitor.

Good Luck
