C3?

I just recently got a VS512MB400 (Corsair Value Select - 512MB), and I was looking to get nother so I could have dual channel back (I had it with the 2x512 Samsung sticks I already had, but adding the VS (does support Dual channel) seems to have gotten rid of it, and lowered the speed from 200Mhz to 167Mhz...). Whne I was looking for another, I ran accross "VS512MB400C3", which looks to be the same exact thing as I have, jsut with "C3" added to the end... anyone know if and what the C3 signifies?

It notes the timing of the RAM.

The xxxxxC3 has a CAS latency of 3

The one you have has a CAS latency of 2.5


This means that your RAM would be slightly faster.



(So you'd want to get the VS512MB400 to pair with the one you have, NOT the VS512MB400C3)
