anyone know where i can get a adapter for my cpu fan it has a 4 wire and i still wanna use the 4 wire to power the fan but i need a
3 pin to plug into my cpu fan header so that my system still sees a fan input.also i want to still be able to monitor my cpu fan speed through my bios. my question is do the make a 4 wire adapter with a rpm lead to connect to the cpu fan header.
any links would be appreciated

I am going to have to say that the fan you have will not support RPM monitoring.
Look real close on the fan, where the Red and Black Lines come out. If you can see a small solder point in the middle that is where you would have to hook up the rpm line.
If there isn't one you would have to buy a new fan for rpm monitoring
good luck

if the fan has all 3 wires, positive negative and the RPM sensor, you can do a little surgery- detach the RPM wire and just run it to a 3pin header, and attach to your mobo. The RPM sensor is the middle pin. Leave the other two, the + and -, as is.

boom, powered off a molex but still has RPM sensing!:)
