That's not too bad. Now I only need to find the price on each variant to get an idea of what I should do.

March 8th isn't too bad as long as there aren't anymore delays.

i read somewhere else that the XT also would be GDDR4 equipped, now this site states it's only using GDDR3..
for now, i'm not sure if there's anyone out there with the right information at all...

I hope it lives up to the rumors since no real information has been release by ATI, I mean AMD. Just built me a new system and this is my first Intel chip. I played alot of games and the core 2 duo just kicks AMD butt in benchmark. I hope AMD will not mess with ATI.

Well looks like the core speed numbers are set in stone.
Time to see what my pocket book will take for a hit on the X2800XTX.
Its a shame though knowing in 6months the X2850XTX will be around if not more then 1Ghz on the Core.
As well ya theres been rumors of the X2800XT having GDDR4, but then again could see why it might just sport GDDR3. Probably quanity issues and surely there will be probably a nice markup between the 2 models.
Edit: Theres going to be 2x XTX models? 1Gig and 512Meg, damn wth. Guess next question is does this support phsysics like the 8800 series has?
suppose that means I should save up my money so I can afford 2 of them and stick them in Crossfire!!! :bday: :santa:
My B-day is in april too, that would make a nice present.

Since the x2800xt will essentially be 3 models down (1gb xtx -> 512xtx -> 512xt), what price do you guys guess it'll end up? I really really do hope the price is comparable with the 8800gts, as that's pretty much the most I would spend on a card right now.
ati is gonna pull the same **** they did with x1800's then x1900's less than 3 months later to beat NV's answer to their first release, I would chill and wait.

Ya I might wait for a bit and see what happens, but guess if the itch comes I can always jump. For some reason I think they might actually wait til later in the year. Sure they have a revision that can do 25% higher clocks currently but really if they can push it more, the better for them at least they have this one sitting in there back pocket.
Funny how ATi makes something months before the competition... and releases it months after the competition. :-/
Oh well, it keeps the bugs away, and driver support will be even better because they'll have the time to code more then barebone betas.
And at ATi, I've heard that the employees don't get in anywhere near as much trouble when they have a delay versus a (slightly)defective product.

I'm riding my 7900GT for a while I think. The fact that I have less and less time to game these days plays a big role in that decision though.

ATI is seriously going to need a monster because nVidia have had a long time to play about with revisions.

If there was ever a place to trust pre-release numbers it's VR-Zone, personally I can't wait to get my hands on a set of these cards. I'm more worried about RD600's 8X PCIe lanes.

Question is how much will these cards cost since theres so many rumors of versions of cards now.
X2800XTX 1Gig (GDDR4)
X2800XTX 512MB (GDDR4)
X2800XT 1Gig (GDDR4/GDDR3)
X2800XT 512MB (GDDR4/GDDR3)
X2800XL 512MB (GDDR4/GDDR3)
X2800GT 512MB/256MB (GDDR3)
Updated the list with the extra card I couldn't remember thx burdman.

I'm more interested in what will happen to the prices in the current x1950 lineup.
If I could pick up a x1950xtx for $200 I'm all over it. I'd like to wait out this DX10 thing for a little bit, personally...mainly because I am less than enthused about Vista.

If not mistaken thats how its lined up, swear theres another one there though.I wasn't sure if there was a 1 gig XT, and also I thought there was a "XL" between the XT and the GT. Aside from that, that's pretty much the same list I've heard. I too am interested in prices for the flavors of R600.

I don't think prices on the current cards will drop much from where they are currently. I know mine will be going up on the sales board when it happens though.

Ya XL thats the one. I couldn't think of it. Brain Fart, going to edit that list.

What happened to nVidia's lineup when they released the 8XXX series? Did the prices drop? I wasn't paying attention.
If the prices don't drop that puts the cheapest R600 card somewhere around $425 probably...since the top-of-the-line ATI is currently what, $375?
