question about swiftech mcx 462

does anyone know if the mcx 462 fits a soyo k7v dragon + mobo

One of the reasons they came up with this new version is so that it fits ALMOST all MoBos. The best thing to do is e-mail them to see if it will fit. I think the PDF d/l on how to attach it has the size and all so you can check if it fits.

i was hoping to find someone who already had that setup seeing as i dont have the mothe board or hs as of yet.they arrive thursday or so they say..lol i have read al the info that you offered already...thanks anyways though

the base of the MCX462 is the same as the MC462-BA I have and from what I'm told yes it will fit. I e-mailed crazypc.com about it and ask here as well.

I have an original MC462 and I've looked at the picture of the MCX462 and seen what they have cut away on the sides to make them fit more motherboards. I would say that you shouldn't have any problem mounting it, looking at the modifications they've done to it compared to the original. The modifications were done to give it a lot more compatability with most all athlon and P4 socket 478 boards being produced.
