Sounds like me in biology! lol
Had to remove a porno pic off my bio teachers desktop.. one of the nastier 2nd years did it. I was tempted to leave it there!
That's quite a farm you have Init-0, can I interest you in putting it to work for SETI (if you're not already a member that is)?
Do you need a connection on each machine for seti?
I only got isdn on two of them (split the two lines between them).
Not got a router but i was thinking of taking the old 133 i got and turning it into a router.
So all my machines could use the isdn.
The server is gonna start getting built soon.
Dual althlons with 64bit scsi raid.
gonna be expensive :P
Having each machine on the net would make it easier but you can download work units to one machine, put them on a floppy and then move them to the other machines to crunch them there. Then just take the results on floppy and send them back through the machine with the internet connection. I'm not the best person to advise how to do this, I've never done it before, but others have and if you actually are interested in trying SETI just put a message in the SETI section asking for advise on how to best set things up for youself, you'll have more than enough people willing to adivse you. :)
As for turning the 133 into a router it is very possible, my Cyrix is doing just that for me and it's doing it in windows. Don't as me for too many details, I had someone else set it up for me (I know, I should be ashamed of myself for not knowing everything that goes on inside my own computers, especially since I'm a member here, what can I say, I'm a dumb@$$.)
Foldoing @ Home is also good!
