I've been watching my temps all year round to see how much cooling my rig can actually do. The temps are finally going down and I noticed something wierd. The cpu temps seem to average higher then the mb temps during the summer, as much as +5C on the hottest of days. While during the winter, the cpu temps average seem to average lower then the mb by as much as -2C.
I'm thinking that maybe the large, Slot 1 heat sink on my cpu contributes to the lower temp because of the lower ambient air temps. But if thats the case, then souldn't my mb stay lower then the cpu?
I find it wierd that the cpu would get cooler in the winter then the board. Right now, the temps have settled at 26C cpu, and 27C mb. Any ideas or hypotesis?

----- Comp Info -----

I run a Abit BE6 board, with a P3-700@933, 133 FSB. I use a Vantec heatsink on it (forgot the exact model, but its for a Slot 1). The temps in my room vary greatly with the temps outdoor, anywhere from 50F in the winter, to 95F in the summer.
I have a mid tower with 1 fan in the lower front sucking air in, 1 fan on the side panel blowing air about midway up the PCI buses, 1 fan sucking air out at the rear just below the PSU, and of course, the PSU fan sucking air out too.
