have some questions?

well i don't know to much about network but i thought you people might so here is my problem i got a school project to nework a client server based network and share ms office off the server or some program like it. i was told it can be install on the server then with out installing on the client use it off the server is this ture if so can someone tell me how to do it or at least point me some where that i can find how thanks

Does the server have terminal services installed?

i have not installed anything yet but i have windows 2k server but if i need terminal services i will get them what is the exact name and is that what i need thanks

You should be able to go to Add/Remove Components on the server and install Terminal Server. Once installed, you will be able to create two client disks that need to be installed on the PC you will be connecting to the server with.

What this does is allow you to run any program present on the server as if you were actually sitting at that PC. You just need an account setup on the server for the client to be able to access it. It's very simple to setup and use.
