I love Antec... I recommend it every chance I get..

Will the Antec True Power Trio TP3-650 run two 8800GTS or 8800GTX without fail?

BTW here are the recommendations I gave to a friend of mine who was looking to build a high end system

www.archerworks.com/diaz/

however I have another friend who was looking for dual video cards and don't know if my recommendations will do him well as far as PSU.

I would switch it over to an Intel C2D rig for more performance. As for the PSU I would put more trust into something like a Zippy or a Silverstone.

Looks like only dual GTS's with that PS.

Antec's used to be ok.. But they aren't keeping up with the rest.
Here's a good reference for psu recommendations. http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103

Hi folks,

While on the subject of the Antec TP3-650, I was hoping someone can help me. I just started working on my new build, which is what's in my sig. This Antec power supply has a connector that isn't mentioned in the manual. It has one blue wire and one black wire going into a 3-pin connector. Where the black wire is inserted into the connector, I was barely able to make out some text which was, "A4" and the blue wire text was labeled "2510 JMT" Could this be for some type of master fan control. I seem to remember that ALL the case fans can be connected directly to this power supply, and the power supply actually controls the fan speed, although, I would not want to use that function. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Richie,

If it's the same 3 pin type as seen on a CPU heat sink fan, yes, it's a power supply fan variable rpm controller.

Hey RollingThunder,

Yes, that's what it looks like to me. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

Klip,

It's ok..........there should be another 3 pin connector on your motherboard for it. It's similar to your CPU fan connector. If you have that 3 pin PS fan controller connector, I would use it. It could be anywhere, check your manual, it's normally shown in diagrams.

I'm not sure if all motherboards have one, mine does but the Corsair power supply I have doesn't have this connector. My previous Antecs always had one.

Klip,

Looks like bottom right for variable rpm, should show in your BIOS. You really can't hurt anything where you connect it. Try them and see.
