Hi guys,

GSkill recently sent me an F2-CL4D-2GBHK kit for evaluation. This memory features two 1GB PC26400 4-4-3-5 @ 400mhz 2.0V - 2.1V. For testing I decided to illustrate memory performance running both 1T & 2T command rates. Lets see what these modules look like.

There we're several level's of stability higher than 433 however 433 was the realistic limit for me on this platform. Overall performance @ 433Mhz 1T quite interestingly is faster than several of the 513FSB 480mhz frequency tests as you will see later on ;)

While I wasn't able to complete 3DMark 06 or much past 20min of Orthos at these settings I still consider this impressive.

Conclusion:

This is fun memory to play with. Heat is absolutely not a concern as even at 2.4V the spreaders are cool to the touch, perfect for in-case ;) overclocking. When I get a chance I'll open up the timings up and and see what kind of CL5 frequencies they can attain - we've already seen some nice results with these. Price-wise these are attractive but it's not hard to look good when high-end ram costs alot more. I'd like to thank GSkill for giving me the opportunity to evaluate this kit and I encourage anyone looking for good overclocking ram without the sky-high price to give these a shot.

Hay maxi.. Did the Abit overclock freqency as well as the P5N32-E SLI (2T + of course)?

Yes they are for sale right now sofar.

maji I didn't get to test these on the MAX but I'll bet the performance is very similar.

dude, how do you keep ur cpu so cool. 34 deg after 3dmark??? im lucky to keep it under 67 and i have a 4300.

Thanks El<(')>Maxi.

I'll use these in my next build. If I could only figure out what MB/GPU to use.

I never knew Gskill stands for "Great Skill in Memory World".

They are high binned ProMOS chips. I have a set of these and love it. Although I didnt know I could use 1T. maybe that explains why it seems my sytem is not very snappy. I'll try it out later.

As for the TT120, I'm guessing its an open-aired case that was used for benching.

Kinda forgot about this thread :D

All these benches were done with the board tabletopped, ie not in a case. I always bench that way so everything stays cooler and you can reach better overclocks with stability. Yes these are using Promos chips.

I'd stick with the CL4D's clo007.

Quick I am not familiar with those so we need someone else to answer this one for you.

Maxi, I hope you sent this to the front page? If not let me know.

I'd be interested to see how long these modules will live at 2.4V. That is kinda high for DDR2.

We like brother Maxi! Looks like some very nice ram.:bday: The 1T OC is off the hook!

10,831 Everest points is unstinkin' believable! WoooooHHHHoooooo! :attn:  :attn: :attn:
