Question on iodine

I'm redoing my setup and decided to go with distilled water (90%) + Pentosin G11 Blue (10%) + a few (I guess 5?) drops of iodine. All the posts I've read say a few drops added in the loop. Are the drops actually added in the loop separate or mixed together with everything?

doesn't matter when you add them in. In the end they'll mix with the rest of the loop through chaotic diffusion.

The iodine will disperse until there is a generally equal concentration in all parts of the volume of water.

Do you put any iodine the mix you have left over?

I added about a teaspoonful on accident... should I worry about anything?
