no sound coming out

i recently bought a xtreme gamer xfi card. connect my headphones to them. work just fine. today i turn on my comp and no sound is coming out. it isnt muted. i thought it was the headphones, so i connect my speakers to them, but the same thing happens. nothing is muted at all. what should i do?

control panel > Sound and Audio Devices > Advanced. And check to see if all the Volume levels are at the max.
