I have a Tagan 480w PSU that has treated me very well over the past two years. I am currently scapping the 3200+ 64 setup that I have, in exchange for a Core2duo e6300 setup.

Along with the e6300 (which I plan to overclock) I also have:
1 x 7800gtx
2 x 200gb Sata
1 x 80gb SATA Raptor
2 x 1 GB ddr2-800
1 x 120mm Panaflow
2 x 120mm generic
2 x CC lights

I bought all the new parts without realizing that my trusty Tagan may not be able to handle it all. I ran the awesome PSU calculator we have, and got 520w.

Judging by the setup, do you think it will be all right?
What's the best way to see if my PSU can not handle the load?

You should be ok, I don't see need for your setup more than 350w

If you plug all your stuff in and get wierd ( I mean almost impossible to find errors ) its probably the PSU, but as meionm said, a Tagan 480W should be plenty. Frozen CPU sells this (http://www.frozencpu.com/products/4081/psu-208/FrozenCPU_ATX_20_Ultimate_LCD_Power_Supply_Tester_ 2024_pin_ATX_SATA_P4_Xeon_PCI-E_Floppy_4_pin.html?tl=g11c28s88) PSU tester, but as for its effectiveness, others can be the judge.

How many 12V amps does the tagen have? (the wattage alone makes it look fine)

Tagan made decent PSU's.
