Looks good, but I would check out the price of that C2D 6600, I know you can get it for $320 at the egg. Maybe you are including shipping in your est.?

I would also gat another, smaller (80 - 120GB) SATA ll HDD for OS/boot drive to compliment either the 250GB HD or the 320GB you are cntemplating. It will boot much faster if the OS has its own, smaller HDD. You don't want all your games and OS on the same drive.

I don't know how much OCing you plan to do, but if not too much you can save 50 - 75 dollars on the RAM to help pay for smaller HDD.

Just curious...why two DVD drives?

why that motherboard?
Why not a 975X or 965P chipset board?

system drive.. 320Gb T7K500 disable the NCQ, and up the SATA standard with the firmware flashing app.

cause i plan on going sli later in the year and from reviews it seems to be a lot better then any other 680i mobo

if i dont go sli, ill take your advie and go for the asus p5w-dh
