Hello all,
From the post title, I hope you can tell that I am having problems with my AW9D-MAX. This is a really complex problem that is yielding different results. I recently had a video card die on me, so it has been running in "limp" mode. Today, I removed my DVI cable to use on another system, when I finished, I plugged it back into the card, but there was no signal. I pressed the power button on the front of the computer, I heard the shutdown sound and the computer shut down. I then proceeded to turn it back on, but it locked at 8E, which is "Check CPU fan", I plugged in a fan, but then it just locks at the next one in line 90 ("AWARDBIOS taking over boot job"). I cleared the CMOS and tried turning it back on, but it only gets just as far as usual. I removed the jumper for fun, and it boots! But since the jumper is not in place, I cannot save settings, so my computer won't be able to boot. I have tried multiple jumpers, removed cards (vid...etc.) and I cannot get past '90' without having the jumper removed. There will be times that the system will get to "C1", which is "Detecting memory". I know for a fact that this memory is solid. I am currently trying a 'hard reset' I'll keep you guys updated. If I can't get this working by tomorrow, I'm going to tear apart the case and make sure that nothing is touching the back of the motherboard and that all dust is removed. All help welcome. If all else fails, I'll RMA the board, and possibly look at getting a P5B-Deluxe...this motherboard is starting to get aggravating...
EDIT: Just turned it back on, it is still sitting at "C1"
