DS3 over S3? Worth the $25 for solid state caps?

Well, is it worth the extra 25 bucks on an obvious budget system? I know the S3 is said to last 3 years, and I will have upgraded by then, but usually my retired desktops go on to find other uses.

Do the solid state caps have any bearing on overclocking ability?

Id save the 25 bucks and go with the s3. That board will last 5 years instead of 10 with a ds3.

None whatsoever. The board is great for overclocking. If you got good ram and a good chip this mobo could reach very high clock speeds.
