Best Ram for NON oc'd CONROE

I need advice on what 2x1GB ram set to get for a c2d system I'm building for a friend. I'll probably use a E6400 or E6600 cpu and he ISN'T going to overclock it so I'm probably going to pick up some value ram to save him some cash. Should I just get ddr533 since the stock fsb is 266 (266x4=1066) or maybe some cheaper ddr667 and run it at a lower speed with better latencies?

the tightest timing ram you can afford would be the way to go.

Not sure how a stock chip would differ as far as performance with the only difference being ram 533,667,800

Get the DDR2-667, you can use the 4:5 ratio for a bit more bandwidth.

Pc5400/5300 will be enough.
