Anyways, I'm still pretty new at all this, only ever did simple ocing by increases frontside bus never playing voltages...
Anyways, Not to long ago I got my E6600 for new system specs here

CPU: Intel Core Duo E6600 (2.40GHz, 4mb Cache)
Motherboard: ASUS P5W DH Deluxe
RAM: 2048 of Ram (2gb) DDR2 PC2-6400 (800MHz) (Advanced Timings 4-4-3-10 @ 800 OR 4-4-4-12 @ 1066)
Power Supply: ThermalTake 600 Watt PS

Anyways, Ive been running stable at 2.8 without any changes to voltage, today decided eh lets up it a notch, so I notch it up to 3,060 and low and behold it boots, and everything seems to be working, also haven't yet touched voltage. Have yet to do any stress testing however. (btw what is a good program or two to test cpu stablility?)
using the asus temp meter its showing 26c on cpu, and 35 on mobo with a few browsers open and misc apps and whatnot, anyways im just curious, is this any good? think I should go further? if so im really un certain about messing with my voltage, whats is a good conservative amount to increase it by??

Anyways thx in advance

I would first download Core temp (To moniter CPU Temperature) and download Go SP2004, or "Orthos" to test stability. If your overclock can make it through 8+ hours of Orthos, it's pretty much rock stable.

What are you temps in CoreTemp? Are you using stock cooling?

My C2D 6600 is in the post at the moment, I've never overclocked anything in my life before but keeping an eye on this topic anyway.
