Hook, Line, and Sinker

I just subscribed to a year of Xbox Live. So why am I writing this? Because I just realized (actually at the begining of my 1 month free trial), how powerful a device that is.

The act of me actually putting down 50 bucks for this thing means I'll probably attempt to milk it for everything it's worth. Even if I got a PS3 and a Wii I'll be spending a lot more time on the 360 that I ordinarily wouldn't have simply because I've paid for it. I'll be downloading every demo (I didn't particularly WANT crackdown. But I had the right to get it so I got it), I'll be playing all my games in multiplayer... I'll even stoop to downloading some of the god-awful video content they have once they come out with a larger HD.

It's an interesting way to keep customers... and they follow up on it with emails...and constant reminders when your subscription is about to run out. I never actually read any of these reminders... but seeing them in my inbox does put the thought in the back of my head. And on top of everything else... EGADS! Xbox Live actually works! Paris to Japan... Japan to Chicago... Chicago to Madrid...

So here's a point for the hard sell.

I was like that too when the new consoles first came out but nothing new or revolutionary has happened since then to warrant more posts. When something exciting happens, I'll probably post en masse again.

im an expert in the french language. i took one year in highschool, and my teacher hated me. my name in the class was hugues (oog) and i had a 6% yes, a 6. the teacher cut me a deal. she said if i went to study hall for the rest of the year she would give me a D in the class. haha. whats funny is i acually know more french than spanish, and i took one year of that and got a B. go figure...

i believe that is for just the sub, not the headset. its acually a pretty good deal even for me who plays little online cept for halo2. but i like the demos. thats the best part. they have a demo out for EVERY SINGLE GAME on the 360.

You don't have to pay to download demos. Xbox LIVE Silver is FREE and let's you do EVERYTHING you can with the paid GOLD subscription, EXCEPT play online. You want to download demos, buy movies or LIVE arcade games then you can do all of that with the FREE SILVER account.

rainless, i was checking out some of your episodes. ;) kinda disappointed you didn't challenge Flounder, but oh well. you likely woulda gotten stomped anyways. :D

Cool! Thanks for visiting the site! The camera really doesn't give you an impression of how huge that guy is... He seemed even bigger than he really was because of how loud his voice was. It's like the room shook when he talked! (it took a lot of editing to bring him down). But we did go looking for Flounder on numerous occasions. Even dropped by with a DVD of that episode.

Yeah it's fifty bucks for the whole year. And if you buy it from like circuit city then they have a year and an extra month on sale every other week for 39.99.

I would've done that, but I just bought my subscription through the 360 because I figured I'd get busy and forget
