View Full Version : Visiontek card detonator drivers not working
I put in the visiontek geforce 2ti card in and i had detonator drivers allready installed. it recognized the card but my monitor drivers disapeared and the refresh rate stays at 60 hz i went to change the refresh rate in adapter and it has no refresh rate. I tried reinstalling the monitor and it wont let me.
I am using powerstrip to force the refresh rate at 85 but my old card a diamond viper 770 tnt 2 ran at 85 default. The screen flickers back and forth when it first boots up and i dont know what i'm doing wrong If anybody can give me advice it would be much appreciated.
I also installed and uninstalled different versions 12.83 version and the 12.85 version. 3d mark2k1 shows the screen in 4 cut up pictures. I am running win Me

I had a problem as well when I installed my VisionTek GTS 2. I also had a TNT2 Ultra card before and also a Kyro 2 4500 card.
Have you checked the display properties to see what version is actually installed? Also check device manager to make sure that the video card does not show as missing drivers.
for some reason win me deleted my monitor driver. I put it back in and it works at 85 now but the screen still flickers in 3dmark 2k1. I dont know if its the card or the drivers. thanks for the input and i will update you about the screen flicker.

You might have to start over with the video drivers. You can do that a couple of ways. First is the most obvious and that is just to reinstall windows. I had to do that. Or try running this program which removes all NVIDIA driver files:

I had a problem when I updated from a GF2MX400 to a visiontek GF3ti200. It wouldn't wake my monitor when it went into standbye. I had to search for a driver that fixed the problem. Youll just have to experiment with different drivers.
Cheers!
my video card is working fine now. I took dolemitecomputers advice and got rid of the detonators. reinstalled and now everything works fine.
Thanks dolemitecomputer.
