Help with XP and Burner

I just upgraded my os to windows Xp and I have an ACer 8x4x32 burner. They are not working together. Pretty much all my burner does is read the CDs and play, but it wont burn. I use CDRWIN 4.0 and like the aspi drivers like show me some screen then restart, any ideas what is wrong.

My cousin had the same problem with a creative 8x burner. couldn't figure out the problem.

I had XP freeze with my Plex while using Nero. I updated Nero to the lastest version, upgraded my firmware on the Plex, and did a windows update. Fixed the prob.

yea it probably because your current version of cdrwin doesn't support winXP so the drivers aren't installed correctly. See if u can get ur hands on another burning prog like nero. :D

Re-install it, if u upgraded....

i removed my jumper from my burner, and it detects the cd drive now, all i have to do is a test burn.
