I just deleted a partition that had about 5Gigs of data on it. DOH!!

I know it just deletes the pointers and such, now I need a way to recover this data....

not sure how to recover it, but don't use that Hard Drive at all if possible. It will write over that data if given the chance.

Well I wish I would have saved those programs that I had once...
All I can say is that do a search on google for recovery software. I had a partition vanish one day, took me ages to find the software. But a little forewarning, They all cost you.

If you have an old version of norton utilities (I think it needs to be a <GASP> DOS version) it should come with 'Disk Editor'. This can be used, with some perseverance, to recover/rebuild the partition table.
Check this site: http://www.datarescue.com/laboratory for more info if you can find that utility.

Check this out as well... It's GNU Public License, so you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for it. I've never used it, but what the heck right, the worst that can happen is that you lose your data, and you're already in that boat... so yeah...

Well, I came across a copy of Easy Recovery Pro, It did the job great! It recovered 99% of all of my data. The only file it did not recover was duplicated on the disk anyways...
