Ok, need some help with this stupid 06 score? For the life of me I can not beat 8K in 06. Ive tried to post all my specs. If you guys could take a look at what I have and let me know what might help me break 8K.the only thing I couldn’t fit on the screen was my rive shot. I have my 8gts running @ 650/1001 for these benches. I thought that alone would net me 8K in 06. I’m already asking a lot out of my value select – is it just cause i have a D920? Is that whats holding me back? Please help.

'06 will see more improvment with faster graphics clocks vs. faster CPU clocks. The CPU will of course make a difference even if it's not as big as the card clocks, and your ram isn't helping matters. If you could run 4-4-4 at at least 400mhz you'd probably make it. 10mhz more card clocks, 50mhz more cpu clocks would also get you there. You could also try some LOD maybe +2 for starters.

Thanks for the response maxi, does 7958 seem about right for what I have in my setup though? For some reason I was under this “an 8800 will guarantee you 8K in 06” impression. Not the case I guess. I don’t know if I can get anymore out of my ram – I have it running @ 2.1 already and with no heat spreaders (value select) I don’t know if I should push it harder. Also I have my 920 set to 1.5 solid in the bios, and it needs all 1.5 to run this fsb stable. How far is it safe for me to push this 920 (voltage wise) I have a zalman cnps7700cu for cooling. My case has great air flow, and my apt stays around 65*F :eh?:

I think your score is fine for the hardware. I was browsing the ORB for scores between 7500-8500 with the GS. FX-62's, Core 2's and X2's up to 3Ghz in the mix so it looks good to me. Do you have all the driver settings on Performance?
