I'm having a lot of trouble sharing a printer on my network.

I have a Lynksys WRT54GL on my school's network, which is functioning as an access point rather then a router. I have one computer hard wired, and two wireless laptops on the network. The wired computer is connected to a printer, and we are looking to share the computer over the network. I've set the printer to be shared, and I set up a network. After trying to set up the network on the laptops (used the same workgroup name and everything) they were unable to find any printers when I browse the networks.

Sorry if any of this is slightly unclear, I don't know a lot about networking and I tried my best. If anyone has any suggestions or any sort of walkthrough on how to share a printer over a wireless access point I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

UPDATE: I'm now connected to the network, I have the other computer on the list but when I double click it for the drop down, it doesn't show the printer or anything else for that matter. I know the printer is being shared, when I search it on the host computer it shows it as being on the network. :(

Does the main comp have a firewall? If so, make sure you have it set so that other comps can access it.

I turned off the firewall completely, and it's resources still cannot be accessed. I'm thinking it could possibly be some sort of compatibility issue or something that needs to be updated? I'm using an unupdated version of windows xp prof with sp2 on the inaccessable computer.
