For 975, looks like the current favorite is the Intel Bad Axe 2, at least judging by the positive feedback for it at extremesystems. I ordered one yesterday to pair with a 6600.

If you don't want to spend a ton i would get the dfi infinity 975x. I love mine because for the price it can hit about 468 fsb wich is good for this chip set.Ther are also some good asus boards.

I have to admit I'm partial to my Abit AW9D.

Although I'm partial to my Asus P5W DH, apparently no one else is, these days the board to beat is the Bad Axe 2, just $176 (http://microcenter.com/byos/byos_single_product_results.phtml?product_id=25172 3) atm.

Oh yeah, you're making the right choice by picking i975x, don't let anyone talk you out of it. :p
