I'm sooo close to 5200MHz. Unfortunatly can't even get the system to post past 199MHz. I've done testing @ 5174MHz (199MHz bus speed) and the system is Prime 95 stable.. and memtest... When I set the bus speed to 200MHz.. nothing, not even a post screen. I have to unplug the tower for it to even boot up. What's going on? I tired everything. Is there something I'm missing on the P5B Deluxe mobo? I'm using the lasest bios. Tried lowering mem timings, increase voltage on everything, and nothing. What can cause this? Everything else is on auto.. what is the default speed of the PCI express slot?
Set the PCI bus to 33 and PCI-e to 101.

I just tried that with no success.. thanks. This board was expensive, I hope it isn't as buggy as I think it is. For the record my audio has a slight buzzing sound and anything higher than low range volumes buzzes.

Yes, last week. I'm using the lastest version. 200MHz should be cake for a be cake for a board that defaults at 266MHz and overclocks up to 500MHz.

maybe it's the chip?

I got mad, pulled it out and now I'm testing a old Pentium D 805 I had laying around.. 3.7GHz air cooling so far.

What were your temps?

What were your temps?
Probe II was saying 80C but I know that was wrong... My P5B-dlx reads wrong temps on cedar mill celerons. I tried both Celerons and neither of them would boot @ 200.

Yeah 5.1GHz is just poor OCing IMHO. I would expect 7Ghz minimum. Seriously though, have you considered the chip MAY be maxing out and not the board?
