Has anyone tried to overclock a mobile CPU? In question is a 600mhz (P3) Dell Inspiron I have just purchased. Can this be overclocked at all?
Specs are:
Intel Pentium 3 @ 600mhz
ATI Mobility P Graphics (8 mb)
256 Mb 100mhz ram
12 Gb hard drive
15" LCD
Windows 2000 Pro
Any input would be appreciated !
Thanx..

Wow, overclocking a notebook... you're adventurous... yes it is certainly possible to OC a notebook computer, most people don't thought because they cram everything into that little case and you have to take apart everything and everything else to get to the motherboard. However, I wouldn't get my hopes up with that Dell... most Dells (like mine) use a modified Intel motherboard, so they cannot be overclocked. I don't know a whole lot more about OCing notebooks than that....
I doubt you'd be able to do it for various reason... One is being branded obviously since there's barely custom labtops..
And the case is so small so it'd be hard for air flow etc.
