I have had the same thing happen ... twice by 2 different gpu instances.

I think the gpu client has been changed to limit how many of these repetitive wu's can happen.

If I had to guess, I'd bet you didn't install the right catalyst drivers for your card. It requires 6.5 or 6.10.

Good guess, but it doesnt sould like that to me. Since he hasn't been able to find it yet, that means that he didn't just set up a new GPU to fold...that would have probably been his first guess if he had...and since the EUE's stopped, that means that it probably isn't the drivers, cause I dont think Stanford Hijacks yer compy to get the correct drivers ;)

Don't feel bad, several months ago while I was at work(12hr shift) one of my GPU folders spit out around 2800 EUE's. :eh?:  Nothing I could do but watch the numbers increase by the hour, on my project stats page. :(

I had mine choke for 3 hours and it seems all I tried to do was set the fan speed in ATItool. Have not touched it since.

Same thing happened to me a year ago, presumably one my work borgs went haywire for two days and then stopped before I ever found it. Hasn't happened again but I got a few thousand EUEs from it.

I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago with my 1 gpu client I have running. It happened during the night and I didn't catch it until it wasted a few hundred wu's. :( I took all the overclock off that vid card and it seems to be stable now. And dfonda, I believe it was happened the second time when I set fan speed to 100% with ATI Tray Tools.
