Need quick answer on DS3

I've heard this board is picky about which RAM it gets, will this work: G.Skill 2x 512MB DDR2 800.

If not then please advise as to what with POST and be stable. OC'ing not an issue here.

don't get PQi turbos, or anything with D9 chips.

The egg doesnt have any Corsair 1.8v DDR2 800.

I have the 2.1v ddr2 800 cas 4 2x512 kit and it booted just fine at 1.8v 5-5-5-15 in my rev2.0 ds3. Your mileage may of course vary.

That kit will work fine.

The 1.9v Corsair XMS2 boot up fine at default settings.

Any 1.8v will due. Some have even bought a cheap single stick, reset the voltage to the desired setting then inserted the desired pair. I personally run these in both of my rigs. A little overkill giving that I am only able to get 450 max on the cpu/mobo. Believe the motherboard to be the issue. A newer revision may (I do not know) have this problem.

Might add that on any oc'd setup I have owned for the last two/three years, I have run the ram at 3.1v. To do so is at your own risk however I have not had a failed stick on any of my 12 folding 24/7 setups as a result of doing so.
