SLeeving an MCP655

Is it ok to cut the wires shorter than they are? My pump will be located within ~8 inches of the PSU. THanks.

yeah i don't see why not. Or you can just order the molex pins and just shorten it much cleaner that way.

Yes you can shorten them.

You can shorten them or lengthen them all you want to, just make sure you either use new molex pins or solder together and wire connections to make sure you have solid contact.

If I were sleeving it at the same time, I wouldn't shorten the wires at all.
Just double them up inside the short sleeve.
You never know what your water system will be like a year from now, and the extra length might just come in handy then...

That pump should easily last a few years. In the time I've watercooled, I couldn't begin to count how many changes I've made.
