I just got a new duron!

Fedex just dropped it off its a duron 800 AKCA 0119 , not to shabby I think 1064 isnt to much to ask. I'll first test it out on my epox board to find the limit and figure out what my L7 mod will need to be.

I think I'm finally ready to go and order my new mobo + CPU, the CPU as u can see in my sig under projects is a Duron 800 as well, I hope to get a good stepping! (Can't pick 'em myself... :mad: )

Yeap, the AKCA is a great Duron stepping. My 750 will hit 1123, 1095 stable. With a little boost in voltage I have no doubt this cpu could hit 1200.

Well so far its stable with 1.7v @ 936 117x8 and right now its at 1.8v @ 992 124x8 I really want to get 1064 with 1.85v we'll see I'll have to keep running toast and try to break this baby in.

*Update*

Ok its at 1064 but I had to run it with nearly 2v so its not to special hopfully after some burning in it will post @ 1.85v. Maybe its just this board I wonder if it will run @ 1064 with 1.85v on my ECS K7S5A?

Alright heres the finally tally for the fresh chip

1.78v 117x8=936
1.88v 124x8=992
1.98v 133x8=1064
2.08v (max voltage) 137x8=1096 37%!

At that voltage this thing runs as hot as my tbird @ 1.44 so clearly 133x8 on this board would be ideal. No I have to take it out in put it in another board to bad the voltage will only be 1.85v max in their.

Thats exactly what I'm doing jaws I thought I would see what the chip could really do while I'm waiting for the ram for the other sytem.

I've already taken it out and now I know the whole stepping.

Great job on the overclock! I really think youll probalby be able to run it at 133 on the ECS board since your doing so well with it now. You wont even have to flash the Bios.

Just came back from the store... What I've ordered is Duron 800 & ASUS A7V-133C (so I can do 133+MHz FSB) & some noname sound card (This mobo don't have onboard sound :()...
I just hope I'll get good stepping!

It will be here in 6 days, on Tuesday :D
