I have two maxtor 20gb 7200rpm udma100 (mode 5) drives in a raid-0 comfig. They are running off my hpt 370 controller card which is onboard my ABIT KT7A-RAID. Each drive is a master. (no slaves are present on this controller and both ports are in use by these two drives. My other 81 gig is on another controller). I believe that they are using a 64k block size. What I don't understand is why my performance is so slow. (i'm running winxp by the way)
 here is a recent benchmark
I need to make a sticky about using Sandra to test RAID performance.
Don't use Sandra...it's wrong 90% of the time when testing RAID performance. Use ATTO or HDTach.

don't use HDtach it only works with NT unless you buy it
I bought it...guess that's why I kind've like it.
As far as an acceptable score, depends on your setup and the score you get with it.
