ok i took a hard drive out an old pc and put it into a new pc, it wouldnt boot due to driver errors so i put it as a slave in another pc. i did this to try to backup some music but i cant access the user folder it is in , says access denied as their is a password on the user. i dont know how to get into this. can somebody help please? this is really annoyin as i need the data off the hard drive, Thanks in advance.

Yep. You might also need to change permissions on the folders once you have ownership. Make sure you select the option for all child objects to inherit permissions too so that you get all of the subfolders and files not just an empty parent folder.

Just like David an ErikD mentioned, you'll need to take ownership of the fles / folders. Here's a link to a MSKB article which goes into detail on how to accomplish that...
