Yes, this is a petty complaint...Has anyone ordered an eVGA GTX from the Egg recently? I was all excited about a pretty black card, and now from what I am reading lately, it seems I will probably get a nasty green one. Anyone get a black one recently?

i got mine in mid-jan and i got a black board :-/

/edit. it looks like the stock gts is still on a black board - did you get the superclocked version?

Well, a friend of mine just got a standard GTS and his PCB was green. I got a stock GTX, but it hasn't come in yet, so I don't know what it has.

I have 2 stock gtxs coming in a few days, I'll let ya know. Really hope mine dont come mismatched =/

i have a green card as well its the superclocked cards that have the green cards btw ;)

Umm... I don't know... I should look at it I suppose... Black... Which is funny as I don't care as long as it is fast... The only thing that annoys me... I bought it and three days later teh SKU's for KO and overclocked models came out GRRRR....

Yeah, its not the end of the world if its green, but black sure is a lot sexier than green. I'm sure I will survive with a green one. I will just spray it with some black BBQ paint or some Krylon.

you should be able to reach KO clocks easy with the stock version tho. :)

you should be able to reach KO clocks easy with the stock version tho. :)
If I knew what to use to overclock it...

I just received an eVGA 8800GTS stock speed from Newegg, it was shipped from California - which btw really frustrated me because apparently the one other item I ordered along with it is carried only in the Cali warehouse, normally I get 1-day ground from the NJ one - and is a green PCB. I only care a little, black would have been cool but most of the card isn't visible anyway and I don't have a case window :shrug: As long as it oc's the same as black ones I'm good :p

I ordered mine about 2-3 weeks ago and mine is green, no complaints though.

EDIT: Does it really matter what color the pcb is?!?!:confused:

Haha my buddy just upgraded to SLI last night and he now has mismatched cards! Weird that some would be black PCB and others are green.

that suks im also picky about that i was thinking about getting one when i get some cash but dammit i was looking forward for a black one for when i start modding

looked around i think all of the 320mb gts are green pcb

and i think the gtx and 640 gts are luck of the draw=(

Its funny, but this is also one of the only things keeping me from the 8800gtx. I love me my red ATI card.

I liked the look of the Red PCB's as well, black is nicer though IMO.

yea all the gts 320 are green impretty sure
someone said the gtx and the gts 640 that are superclocked are green the rest are black

hopefully this is true

Not in the slightest. Flextronics has multiple vendors supplying the bare 8800 PCB's. Different
PCB suppliers can use a different fiberglass color from either being specified to for quick vendor
ID during stuffing or due to what is available in the raw materials at the time.
