My buddy's PC had no spyware protection, no firewall and no virus protection. he didnt know what those things were. sad huh? Well i came over to his house which there was an error which sad config system corrupted or deleted i put an XP disk and repaired it. i scanned to PC and deleted spyware and viruses. Once in awile the PC woul shut down as if i was yanking the chord out of the wall. what caused this and how can i fix his PC?

Check the heatsink and make sure its not clogged with dirt.

Power off like that is almost always heat related
