my computer is set up to dual boot win98 and win2k. 98 is on a fat 32 partition, 2k is on a ntfs partition all of my mp3's are on a fat 32 partition . this is a dumb question that i think i know the answer to , if i am booted to win 2k (ntfs) and i turn an audio cd into mp3s can i save the mp3s onto a fat 32 partition. i am pretty sure the answer is yes but i don't want to be wrong and trash my 5000 mp3's that are already there. thanks p.s. how do i edit my signature in the forum
You can do that.
Edit your signature by clicking on the User CP button at top and then go to Edit Profile. Signature is at the bottom...edit it and submit new settings.

thanks for the help
Always remember, that NTFS 5.0 can read FAT, FAT32, NTFS 4.0, while FAT can't read NTFS at all. FAT can however, read other FAT partitions.

There is a program available that allows Win98 to read NTFS partitions. I'm afraid that it's not free and is called NTFS for Win98. Full details are available Here (http://www.winternals.com/products/fct/ntfswin98.asp)
