Mobo: Abit ST6 (excellent ocing mobo) 80$
CPU: Celeron 1.2(has been known to hit 1.6-1.7 on air) 100$

Bios is the protocol through which the mobo talks to the rest of the comp, no bios=no computer.....flashing a new bios allows newer feautres such as supporting new cpus or fixing bugs on mobos....look on the front page of www.overclockers.com and they ave some good articles on bios flashing...

I second that rig FunnyPerson mentioned...
And get a SK-6 with that you'll need it :)

If you have bux to blow get an Epox 8kha+ and an AMD 1900+ ..

It really depends though if you just want something decent that can overclock and that'll last long and do the job its the Tualatin 1.2 Gig with the Abit ST6..

its too bad that the Celly doesnt utilize DDr, otherwise an oced Celly1.2 could easily compete with the 1800+....

An SK6 is a very good hsf that will let you overclock the proc well because it is very efficient.

Atacom has the st6 listed for $84 on pricewatch and I just checked their site and they have the 1.2 Celeron oem proc for $106.95. The oem 1.2 Celeron is supposed to be better at overclocking than the retail proc, according to ol' man.

You can try www.essencompu.com (essential computers). I have started to order there recently with good results. Always check vendors at www.resellerratings.com though. A rating of above 5.5 is pretty good. Also read the recent comments there to get an idea of how current customers are being treated. I ordered my ST-6 and Tulatin 1.2 at essential. I got my sk-6 straight from thermalright. Don't recall their website, but you can www.google.com search it.

Good Luck!!
