I saw in another thread that somebody mentioned there is a known limitation with QX6700 chips and 680i system boards that basically causes the max FSB to be 300mhz.

Can anybody confirm this or is it merely hit and miss??

Also, does the ASUS 680i boards have trouble with mounting a Tuniq Tower?

I am having trouble deciding which board to get any help would be greatly appreciated.

Really? I am kind of surprised, I have had some other folks swear that the ASUS board had better FSB results.

So some folks are able to get past 300mhz FSB with the QX6700?

according to people with eVGA 680i and quads they are pretty ****ed cuz the issues havnt been fixed and a known eVGA tech on XS says its not correctable with bios its on the hardware level.

The thing I can't figure out is whether or not the problem is just with the EVGA boards or ALL 680i boards??

Anybody?
