I have tried to enable the AAM (Automatic Acoustic Management) feature for my two WD5000KS SATAII Drives using HDDScan and the Hitachi Feature Tool.

After successfully enabling the feature and reducing the level from the Default 254 to 128, the settings simply don't "stick". I open the program again and it's reset back to 254... I tab away from the tool, and it resets back to 254.

I have read on a German forum that Asus Germany responded that AAM cannot be enabled by certain Asus boards because it is incompatible with the A.I. Quiet feature.

Has anyone here had luck enabling AAM?
