Got my Vdroop and Vcore mod done on a P5B.

Did the Vdroop and Vcore mod over the weekend. Now I get no more Voltage drop at full load. When I set 1.45v in the bios it's actually using 1.45v not 1.40v like before.

Nice work. Put some hot glue about an in away from the solder points on the board to hold down the wire also. It will help secure the wires better, vmods be delicate babies!
 
Yeah, I got lazy, didn't bother to do it. I'll end up doing it when I take mobo out when I watercool it.
 
That's the weird thing, I didn't actually turn the pot much at all. I think the 30gauge wire wrap created enough resistance to get rid of the droop and the voltage drop. I barely turned it 1 turn on both pots. now when I turn it, all it does is raise the vcore instead.
