The watercooling gods today frowned upon me. I woke up at 3:30 am, and heard my pump which was louder than normal, and I knew there was air in the system. I had no time to check it out because I had to go to work. But when I got home, I saw that thier was hardly any water left in the pipes, and a huge cut in a pipe going to my radiator. Just warning, if your pump is loud dont turn on your computer  :D

Man, that sucks! Sorry to hear your bad luck. What did you burn up, the proc or both cpu and motherboard? Have you figured out what cut the hose? I'm getting ready to go watercooling my Intel box after Christmas and that kind of thing worries me. I hope that it didn't destroy a whole bunch of components.

Nothing is burned up thank goodness, I keep a watch on cpu temps when the computer is on. Apparently it happened last night while I was asleep. I think it may be a cat's mischevous work. I got new hose from dangerden coming monday tho, so Im not too worried. I just got to get rid of the new hose.

You got lucky. I mean heck on my rig one drop of water fried my AGP slot and that was from condensation.

take some really reallllllly hot sause or a peper ( atomic grade)
and just smear it on your hose
cat comes around
takes one little nibble
wont ever touch it again
if it even comes in your room again after that

my friends stupid ass dog keeps chewing on his cords so he did the same, he used habanero tabasco sauce, this is the hotest tabasco sauce i know of, And i thought the regular stuff was hot ! I used to feed hot peppers to the dog next door when it starts barking really bad, i would just stick one of these through the fence and it would eat it, and it would stop barking. you could hear it panting because of the peppers. After a while it would start barking again so i put another one through the fence and it ate it ! If you have a dog this retarted the hot sauce trick insn't for you:D

If you use the atomic grade stuff (Dave's Insanity Sauce, for instance) USE GLOVES. My little bro got a little drop on his nose when he was smelling it, and he was crying a lot before we got it off. Be careful. Here's their wesite. (http://www.davesgourmet.com/insauces.html)

you dont have to use hot sauses
you could also sprinkle allum ( the stuff tweety bird would put in the cats mouth to make him pucker up so he couldnt eat him)
when ever i go into dc and have to stay in the same spot i always buy some bbq sunflower seeds and feed them to the pigions so they stay away from me.
