Hello there, I am putting together my new rig and have 2 evga 8800 gtx cards, one has the black pcb other has the green pcb. My question is with the bios versions, the black card has a sticker that says bios version 60.80.07.00.01. Now the green card has bios version sticker 60.80.07.00.11

Also the green card looks to have a 2nd sticker slapped over the cooling fan cover, maybe was an overclocked version clocked down to stock speeds? These both came from the egg ordered at the same time.

Would I need or should I flash the bios's to the same versions for sli or use newer version bios in master pci-e slot??

From what I can remember with SLI only thing that matters is they are the same speed. I'm pretty sure when I ran SLI I had two 7900gt kos with different BIOS. You might want to take a look at our SLI Sticky (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=403142)

Bios version shouldn’t matter - an OCed version that was covered up will not matter either. what people have posted you can get great clocks out of these cards regardless of the factory clock.

That might be right. Maybe I was thinking to get the best performance.

Yep I went through the stickies, not as much info on the newer cards, would you put the newer version bios in the master pci-e slot?
