I've been out of the PC game loop for a while now and was wondering what good at the moment.
In the past I was playing things like Return to Castle Wolfenstien (as well as the original version!), Call of Duty and other 1st person shooters. I've heard of this Stalker game recently, sound good.
Any suggestions of this type of game?

For your ucrrent rig:

Counterstrike, WOlfenstein: ENemy Territory, And Americas Army are gonna be the upper limit of "OMG! AWESOME!" FPS' that you can play.

Quake III is also ownage:)

I'm actually planning to get a new rig in the next month or two. I had a go on America's Army, I didn't like it much, kept getting thorwn in jail for shooting the instructor in training!! The graphics cards on my laptop and desktop are not the best for much at the moment. Like I said, I've been out of the gaming loop so haven't been bothering with the best hardware.

Warrock is a freeware FPS coming out...

BF2 is a pretty nice game, as is Call of Duty 2 for the PC. If you're gettinga new rig, for FPS I'd hve to recommend Counter Strike: Source, as well as Half Life 2. Portal should also be good in the coming months.

UT2K4/2K3 are also great FPS shooters in the last few years.

And yes, AA Training sucks ;) But beat your way through that and you've got a pretty good game under the covers.
